You don’t have to look far these days to find front
lawns that go in, in a really big way, for Halloween. I snapped this yard shot of a
home across the street from where I went to high school, in Englewood, NJ. (It was a sunny day, giving rise to the title of this post--with apologies to Donovan and Judy Collins.)
(Of
course, it is the conceit of Buffy the
Vampire Slayer that high school is literally Hell—thereby confirming
the belief of generations of American teenagers.)
