Song Lyric of the Day (Carly Simon, on ‘Sons of Summer’)

“Where are those sons of summer now
The winter has come
And you don't know how to turn your
Dreams into coal.”—“Sons of Summer,” words and music by Billy Mernit, performed by Carly Simon, from her Playing Possum LP (1975)

Recently, many “sons of summer” played baseball at this park in the Overpeck County Park Extension, near where I live in Bergen County, NH. I took this photograph two weekends ago.
